About Me

Meet Bridget Bodine

Bridget has been a student of the dog for 35 years. It is obvious when you meet for your first training session that she lives and breathes dogs.

Bridget started her canine career in the dog fancy with top show handlers Greg and Kim Strong. She learned that successful dogs came from breeders and trainers who valued structure, temperament, grooming and clean kennel management practices.

Bridget's first dog show was the infamous Westminster Kennel Club show in New York City. Where she was show assistant for Greg and Kim Strong. Her initiation quickly sparked her interest in dog training. Now, 35 years later; she has trained 1000's of dogs from many different breeds.

Bridget takes clinics or seminars yearly to advance her knowledge of current training methods. She has organized clinics and trained with Pat Burns several times as well as Dennis Voigt twice. She has attended clinics with Mike Lardy, Danny Farmer, Ray Voigt, Andy Attar, Kevin Cheff and Carol Cassity. She recently attended a clinic with Operant Canine's Pat Stuart from Australia.

Though Bridget has 30 years of experience with ecollars, she is now working with protection dog trainers and learning to use all of the tools of training using shaping, luring , clickers while STILL using ecollars as reinforcer. With all of the varied experiences with the dog as a species, as well as with a variety of different breeds, venues and disciplines, she has an innate ability and intuition on what each dog needs and adjusts the method to the dog and does not force the dog through a method.
